Physiotherapist – Musculoskeletal and Pelvic Health. I work in Randwick.

My Story:

I grew up in Dublin, Ireland with three big loves: people, sport and human science. I wanted a career that brought all three together and that’s how I found physiotherapy.

I started playing hockey at 11 and continued into my twenties. Sport taught me the value of commitment, teamwork and resilience, giving me an early appreciation for what the human body can achieve. These lessons have shaped the way I approach my work as a physiotherapist

today.

I studied Physiotherapy at University College Dublin and began my career in a large acute hospital, where I gained experience across orthopaedics, rehabilitation, cardiorespiratory, neurology and musculoskeletal care. I loved the pace and variety of hospital life, and the opportunity to support people through so many different stages of recovery whether returning from injury, illness or adapting to a major change in their health.

A brave move across the world to Australia opened the door to another area of physiotherapy that I’ve come to love  pelvic health. I’ve been fortunate to learn from some incredible mentors who have helped foster this love and interest. I’m passionate about helping women

better understand their bodies, build confidence in movement, and feel empowered to get back to the things they love.

Long-distance running and endurance training are also a big part of my life, so strength, movement and performance are things I genuinely enjoy exploring both personally and professionally.

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me out for a run, doing pilates, or on the beach.

What makes me different:

One part of my job that I love is getting to know each person that walks through the door for their appointment. I believe mutual understanding and trust are the foundation for creating a meaningful plan that’s right for you and your goals. Working across a variety of settings in

healthcare has enabled me to approach treatment while looking at each person as a whole, and how each system works in tandem. I find women's health particularly empowering. Helping women understand their bodies and how spectacular they are is something I will never get tired of. I strive to create a space for people to talk openly and without judgment - there’s no such thing as TMI!
